Open Water Diver Certification
Your open water diving adventures really begin with this certification course. The Open Water Diver Course provides the basic foundation knowledge and skills necessary to enjoy recreational diving and is the basic certification required for all levels of PADI Advanced and PADI Specialty Courses. Our three or four day course involves classroom and pool instruction followed by four open water dives. |
Divers 15 years old and above will receive the PADI Open Water Diver Certification. Divers 12-14 years old will receive the PADI Jr. Open Water Diver Certification. Divers 10 & 11 years old will receive the PADI Restricted Jr. Open Water Certification. In all cases the course content and performance requirements are the same. The classroom portion of the course here in Grand Bahama can be made less intense if the student reads the books, completes the knowledge reviews, and watches the video prior to arriving. The course is completed in three or four days and includes instruction, use of tanks, weights, mask, fins, snorkel, BCD, regulator, wetsuit, two dive trips (4 dives), and PADI certification card. SCUBA REVIEW OR REFRESHER COURSE
Why PADI Scuba Review? Are you a certified diver, but haven't been in the water lately? Are you looking to refresh your dive skills and knowledge? If you answered yes to either of these questions then PADI Scuba Review is for you. What do I need to start? Hold a scuba certification Minimum age: 10 years old What will I do? First, you'll review the safety information you learned during your initial training. Then, you head to confined water to practice some of the fundamental scuba skills. Your day will end with two supervised open water dives on the reef. How long will it take? One Day How much does it cost and what does the class include? The cost is $150.00 per student. This includes your classroom and pool sessions. Two tank reef dive plus equipment is an additional $115.00 this reflects a 20% discount on the dive and equipment. |
PADI OPEN WATER REFERRAL DIVES
An Open Water Diver Referral permits you to complete your Open Water Diver Certification during your stay on Grand Bahama Island. You will need a referral letter completed log book pages from your PADI instructor verifying your classroom and pool training. The course involves satisfactory skill assessment and four open water dives. Divers 15 years old and above will receive the PADI Open Water Diver Certification. Divers 12-14 years old will receive the PADI Jr. Open Water Diver Certification. Divers 10 & 11 years old will receive the PADI Restricted Jr. Open Water Certification. In all cases the course content and performance requirements are the same. The course requires two days and includes instruction, two dive trips (4 dives) and PADI certification card. The course price does not include rental gear, but students can rent any equipment they need for an additional $40.
